RINCON PARKWAY, Day 2

Early this morning.

I woke up early this morning and peeked outside, it was overcast and chilly. A little after 7, I went outside and filmed the early morning traffic on the highway above and the Parkway that we are on. I came back inside and hopped back in bed and went back to sleep until about 10. Why? Because I could.🀭 When I woke back up and peeked outside the smell of πŸ₯“ bacon was in the air. I was inspired, so I fixed us a little baconπŸ₯“ n egg 🍳breakfast sandwich and some coffee. We typically don’t have breakfast, but it just felt right this morning.πŸ˜€

Carle invited us to join him and his friends to ride into town; Carpenteria. Carle and Joyce were taking their jeep and their friends were riding bikes. Hum, drive or ride our bikes, drive or ride our bikes. Hum…well, after I learned that the ride was about 9 miles one way, πŸ€”uh, we opted to ride with Joyce and Carle.🀭

The ride to town was pretty quick. We pulled into the parking lot and saw this cool little blue car. (I believe it was an electric vehicle.) It reminded me of a little Hot Wheels car or fancy golf cart. It was super cute! Looks fun to drive.😁

We met the bike riders at the Rincon Brewery.

Carle, Craig, me and Joyce.😁 I think the sun was in Carles eyes.🀭

Carle flagged the bike riding crew over to a nice big table in the outdoor patio, under some lightly flowering trees. We exchanged introductions and pleasantries and the conversations and laughs began. The beer was flowing and food ordered. After the food was consumed and beer enjoyed, the women, four of us, did a little shopping while the men stayed and chatted. I wandered into a little consignment store with some antique wares. I love these types of stores. They are like stepping back in time.

Interesting branch handle silverware.
Find the starfish.πŸ˜‰
Old school desk. πŸ€“
More starfish.
Cute dishes.
OMG!!! I remember these!Β
My cousin used to burn these candles on Mateus wine bottles in the 60’s. They created some pretty colorful artistic pieces.
Ok, these little doll heads were just creepy! Especially the one with no eyes. WHY?! Who would put bubblegum in that!?😬

We got back to camp about 4. My eyes were tired, so I took a little 30 minute nap. I woke up feeling refreshed so I rode my bike to Carle and Joyce’s for a brief visit. I talked to some of his friends admiring their electric bikes and watched the sunset with Carle.

Sunset. It looked like a 🏜 desert scene.

When I got back to my rig it had begun to get dark so I grilled our πŸ” burgers in the dark.

Square ground beef pattys for dinner. Grilling in the dark by πŸ”¦ flashlight was interesting.😏

It’s late. I’m tired. Good night. Let’s see what tomorrow holds in store.😊 Be safe. Be happy. Be better tomorrow. βœŒπŸ½πŸ’—
